Lotus Events was founded by Nadine, whose journey into the events industry began during her years working as a tour guide in Vietnam. After being approached to assist with a corporate event, more requests soon followed for weddings, celebrations and group experiences, eventually leading her to establish Lotus Events.
At the time, the events industry in Central Vietnam looked very different from today. While Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City were already seeing the emergence of specialist event companies, Hoi An and Da Nang remained largely undiscovered as destinations for weddings, corporate events and incentive travel.
Nadine recognised the region’s potential early. The combination of beautiful beaches, luxury resorts, world-class hospitality, stunning countryside and rich cultural experiences offered something truly unique. As new resorts and event facilities opened across the region, more couples, companies and travellers began choosing Central Vietnam as the setting for their celebrations and events.
Over the years, Lotus Events has grown alongside the destination itself. While much has changed, the philosophy remains the same — creating personalised experiences that reflect each client rather than fitting them into a standard package.
Founder & Creative Director
Australian-born and passionate about Vietnam, Nadine founded Lotus Events after years working in tourism, hospitality and events across Hanoi and Hoi An. Having witnessed the growth of Central Vietnam as a destination for weddings, celebrations and corporate events, she recognised the opportunity to create personalised experiences that went beyond standard event packages.
Known for her creativity, calm approach and attention to detail, Nadine loves developing new concepts and finding the thoughtful touches that make an event feel truly personal. From venue ideas and styling concepts to guest experiences and event design, she continues to bring fresh ideas and inspiration to every project.
Event Manager
Originally from the UK, Miriam spent more than 10 years working in travel and corporate events before moving to Vietnam. Unlike many expatriates who begin their journey in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, she arrived directly in Hoi An and quickly fell in love with the town, its people and the lifestyle of Central Vietnam.
Combining a background in large-scale events, logistics and client management with a passion for bringing people together, Miriam now oversees the day-to-day operations of Lotus Events and works closely with clients throughout the planning process.
She loves helping clients move beyond standard event packages and create experiences that genuinely reflect who they are. Whether that’s finding the perfect live band, creating a memorable dining experience, incorporating Vietnamese elements into an event or simply coming up with unusual ideas that guests will still be talking about years later, Miriam enjoys the creative challenge of making every event feel different.
Known for her practical approach, organisation and ability to keep calm under pressure, she believes the best events combine great planning, great people and a few unexpected surprises along the way.

While Nadine and Miriam lead the planning and management of Lotus Events, every event is supported by a trusted network of event professionals, creatives and suppliers who work together to bring each project to life.
Over the years, we have built strong relationships with some of the most talented people in the industry across Hoi An and Da Nang. From photographers, stylists and florists to entertainers, celebrants, production teams and specialist event suppliers, we carefully select the right people for each event based on its style, requirements and budget.
This approach allows us to create bespoke teams for every project, giving our clients access to the expertise they need without being limited to a fixed supplier list or standard package.
One reason clients choose to work with Lotus Events is our flexible approach to planning. Rather than starting with a package and asking clients to adapt their plans around it, we prefer to start with the people, their priorities and the experience they want to create.
For some clients, that means designing a destination wedding that reflects their personalities and those of their guests. For others, it could be a corporate event with a stronger connection to local culture, or a private celebration centred on a unique idea or special occasion.
Personalised does not necessarily mean more elaborate or more expensive. Often it simply means focusing on what is important to you and removing the elements that aren’t. Our goal is to create events and experiences that feel meaningful, memorable, and genuinely reflective of the people at their heart.

Organising a destination wedding from afar seemed like a daunting task but Miriam and her team made this is an absolutely stress-free experience. We didn't have a super clear idea on what we wanted our wedding to look like in terms of the finer details but Miriam was able to ask the right questions and point us in the right direction whenever needed. No question from us was too much for her and she made all our quirky little requests come true, even when this meant that we needed all menus printed in two languages and raiding her personal jar collection, so our lolly bar could become reality. We couldn't have asked for a better person to organise our wedding including all events in the week around it. From a hen's night to welcome drinks and a recover event, she had it all covered with ideas, suggestions and top-notch organisation. Miriam's no-no sense energy gets stuff done and she makes no task seem to big. Thank you for making our big day so unforgettable!
Choosing Miriam and her team was the best decision we made for our wedding. We planned everything from different continents, and from the very first call, she calmed me completely—I knew we were in the best hands! I’ll admit I kept my expectations modest at first: Hoi An is a small town with a limited vendor pool, and I have very specific tastes shaped by growing up in big cities. Miriam exceeded every expectation. She understood my vision instantly, anticipated what I didn’t know how to ask for, and surprised us again and again with thoughtful touches. Communication was fast and clear, planning was stress-free, and the execution on the day was flawless—meticulous details, seamless coordination, zero hiccups. I was also worried about the floral setup, since my designer and I spent so much effort on it, and the colour palette could easily go wrong with amateur florists. But the whole floral team truly surprised me, as they completely understood the vibe I was going for and sourced all the correct flowers. I almost cried when I saw how beautiful the flowers were after I finished my makeup! Our wedding was elegant, personal, and exceeded my wildest expectations. It has been over two months since, and I still find every single detail as perfect as it was. It simply couldn't be any better, and I am truly grateful to Miriam and the whole team for making this magic happen! If you’re on the fence, stop searching.
