A Wedding in Paradise

Katia and Ian were living in Australia, and their guests were travelling from as far away as the UK, so they wanted to create a memorable wedding for everyone. Stunning Red Bridge, a tropical riverside was the venue they chose to celebrate their love with family and friends. A gorgeous flower arch and petal-lined aisle added romantic touches to the venue, as did the vibrant pink color the girls chose for their tailored bridesmaids dresses. Lastly, vintage strings of carnival lights created a starry ambiance in which to dance the night away.

“My husband and I got married at the Red Bridge Restaurant in May 2013. Based in Australia, we had been looking the previous year for suitable destination weddings, as we are originally from the UK and wanted our guests to have a holiday for the event. After some random searching online we found Hoi An and other couples’ incredible pictures of this lovely town, and Red Bridge in particular.

Wanting to be sure that it was the right choice for us, we packed our bags a year before the wedding and set off to meet Nadine after contacting Red Bridge directly. Immediately all of our high expectations were met, with Nadine meeting us to discuss our requirements. The venue is naturally beautiful and reflects the South-East Asian hospitality that any visitor would expect. The restaurant is a stunning and secluded venue for a wedding.  The villa itself is a thing of wonder and we stayed there for two nights (from the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids, then the wedding night). Absolutely stunning and ample space for up to 8-9 people. We had our breakfast made in-house by the Red Bridge staff.

Nadine was always in touch with us, and during the hectic times would always prompt for responses.  On our arrival into Da Nang, we had a taxi waiting for us. However, the driver wasn’t sure where he was going and this resulted in us being late for a preparation meeting with Nadine. Thankfully Nadine met us in Hoi An to reassure us that it was not an issue, and even waited for us while everyone checked in.

We had a few events planned for the week, mainly group dinners, suit/bridesmaids dress making, and spa treatments for the bridal party. Everything was booked with Nadine’s help and she even accompanied us to the various locations to make sure everything was on track, without me even asking.

Having already been to Hoi An the previous year, I had a good idea of what I wanted from the week. But I also sought help from Nadine on suitable locations, suppliers, etc. Everything was of the highest standard.  Hoi An Events Weddings is very well connected in terms of suppliers and resources for a Hoi An wedding, from the choices of celebrants and photographers down to the options for drinks, food and wedding favours.

My husband and I have had a wedding to remember thanks to Nadine and her team. We cannot thank them enough!”
